About Our Saviors Lutheran Church - Hartland, WI

Bible Based.

We identify the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as the basis for our teaching and life together. God uses this Biblical witness to create, strengthen and sustain faith, through sharing the real stories of how God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit has worked throughout history with, through and alongside everyday, broken people, just like us.

Saved By Grace.

When we gather for worship we hear God’s Word from the Scriptures, pray as Jesus taught and come to the Lord’s Table to receive the mercies that God promises: salvation, life, and forgiveness of sin. We believe that, as Martin Luther writes in the Small Catechism, “we cannot by our own understanding or effort believe in Jesus our Lord or come to Him. So the Holy Spirit calls us (and our neighbor) through the Gospel, enlightens us with God’s gifts, and sanctifies and keeps us in true faith.” God’s grace is a free gift given out of love for God’s people. It’s not something we earn or deserve – we simply try to live in response to it.

Serving Jesus Everyplace.

Throughout the week, we at Our Savior’s endeavor to live by faith, serving others freely and generously in all that we do, trusting in God’s promises of forgiveness of sin, life and salvation. At celebrations and sick beds, in family gatherings and in daily work, in our backyard and abroad, we at Our Savior’s truly strive to live out God’s call to serve God and serve our neighbor, in our church, our community and all of God’s creation.
